There is something magical and transformational about saying “yes” to God. When you take His hand, step out of that boat (your ordinary, comfortable life), and be brave. Instead of spending your lifetime living in fear and playing it safe, you boldly walk in obedience. God makes you brave.

It is the will of God that we live not only as rational beings, but as 'new men' regenerated by the Holy Spirit in Christ. It is His will that we reach out for our inheritance, that we answer His call to be His sons. We are born men without our consent, but the consent to be sons of God has to be elicited by our own free will.

Our willingness and desire to be obedient to the teachings of Jesus is at the heart of our entire faith walk.

God can use you. You must be willing to follow His leading.

God is God. Because he is God, He is worthy of my trust and obedience. I will find rest nowhere but in His holy will that is unspeakably beyond my largest notions of what he is up to.

The man who cannot obey God cannot say that he loves or trusts his Master. If God knows best then how dare we interfere with His will?

The gift of the Sabbath must be treasured. Blessed are you who honour this day.

So many commands in the Bible require obedience without us experiencing any conviction to obey them. That is when our faith is truly tested.

Whenever, wherever, however You want me, I'll go. And I'll begin this very minute. Lord, as I stand up from this place, and as I take my first step forward, will You consider this is a step toward complete obedience to You? I'll call it the step of yes.

Lord I am willing to walk with you, take my hand.
