How to earn a viable standard of living while giving vent to their desire to perform creative activities is the quintessential challenge for modern humans. Some people settle for jobs filled with drudgery and in their free time immerse themselves in hobbies that provide them with personal happiness. Other people prefer to find work that makes them happy, even if this occupation requires them to live a more modest standard of living. The greater their impulse is for curiosity and creativity, the less likely that a person will exchange personal happiness for economic security.
The thought system which dominates our culture is laced with selfish values, and relinquishing those values is a lot easier said than done. The journey to a pure heart can be highly disorienting. For years, we may have worked for power, money or prestige. Now all of a sudden we've learned that these are just the values of a dying world.
What is MONEY? a piece of PAPER, a chunk of METAL or just some bits and bytes. It’s been called the ROOT OF ALL EVIL, but it can also help UPROOT ALL EVIL.It can’t buy you HAPPINESS or LOVE, but some fall in LOVE WITH IT anyway. It can CHANGE who you are, help find out WHO YOU really are.It can ENSLAVE you, and FREE you.It can open DOORS, buy you DOORS, But it won’t tell you what to do once you are INSIDE, CONTROL you and give you CONTROL.It can give you the power to say YES and the freedom to say NO.It’s EVERYTHING ……………. and NOTHING. Because MONEY is just money
If there is to be any hope for the world, indeed if you really want to find satisfaction and happiness in your life, you must regard the return you will receive as a secondary consideration, if a consideration at all ……seek money first and you will ruin your land, or betray your profession…
We have created a manic world nauseous with the pursuit of material wealth. Many also bear their cross of imagined deprivation, while their fellow human beings remain paralyzed by real poverty. We drown in the thick sweetness of our sensual excess, and our shameless opulence, while our discontent souls suffocate in the arid wasteland of spiritual deprivation.
Wherever you are, you have to work for your living.
