Glory of the world makes life meaningless. Glory of God fulfills it.

God himself, finding he was in the midst of spirits and glory, because he was more intelligent, saw proper to institute laws whereby the rest could have a privilege to advance like himself. Beware ! Heart is too small to feel happy but soul is too big to take glory

Some things are so silly they have a certain brilliance to them. Other things, set as standards for brilliance and therefore exalted by many who don't know why, become tarnished because of it.
