When we are still, all settles into place. We take time to see the beauty.We take time to see the heart.And we naturally gravitate to others that resonate that inner calm. When we are still.

It’s January and I’m kicking snow off the ground. I just threw out the flower you made me promise to water, handle with care, because I was too careless, you said. Careless with things and people, around me and behindand I remember being still for just a second or two, thinking that it’s so much easier to leave and start anew, than take care of what’s already here.

I hear many people share with me that they just 'have to do this thing' before they can relax and slow down.The truth is that taking the time to be still and reflective actually increases productivity and gives more joy to what you're doing when it's time to take action again.

God will fight your battles if you just keep still. He is able to carry you through. Trust Him. Keep standing, keep believing and keep hoping.

At times, productivity means doing nothing at all.

If you want peace in your life, you have to stop declaring war.

Turn off the radio, TV, DVD, iPod, computer and cell phone. Then, listen.

Rest and repose are as much a part of life’s journeys as seeing all we came to see.
