The world seems to want us to be sad and angry because bad things frequently happen. But I say we should feel the opposite. We should be happy and cheerful because good things happen. We should be delighted to see the sun rise and stars glow and rainbows color stormy skies. We should savor every simple breath and eat each meal with gratitude. We should slumber in sweet dreams and relish moments of laughter and love. We should take more notice of the joys and kindnesses that do exist, still dictating the actions of millions of good people all over the world. Life is filled with pleasant moments, not just grief. We should be happy because this is true.

I figure, sometimes, bad things happen to us so we can achieve a higher purpose and attain greater happiness and fulfillment in life.

I wanted to say something to make her pain go away and make everything better. But, I realized that there was no answer. Bad things happen to good people. Rain always falls on the people who deserve nothing less than the sun.

It's decidedly bizzare, when the Worst Thing hppens and you find yourself still conscious, still breathing.

Sometimes you go through life and the wrong thing happens.

Unless you refuse the bad things happening to you, you will continue to suffer with your own consent!

Bad things can happen, and often do--but they only take up a few pages of your story; and anyone can survive a few pages.

It's sad that bad things have to happen in order for us to stop and look around.
