Contemplate for a moment hiking up a wild and rugged mountain. The mountain itself is a challenge, as well as the experience of beauty and danger. To reach the top, a person must persevere. The higher one goes up the mountain the more one can see of the landscape around. There is, in seeing an expansive view, a natural delight and exhilaration that anyone who makes the effort feels. This natural delight corresponds to the spiritual joy of gaining a higher perception of life. Mountains correspond to heaven. The delight of gaining an elevated view on a mountain is the reflection (correspondence) of spiritually gaining wisdom in one’s soul.

Thus, Christ making His human divine and taking it into heaven is the central event of all time. It is the miracle of all miracles. The resurrection bursts like a sun on the timeline of history, which means this innermost event shines light on all points in history leading up to it and after it.

The reason for the prevalence of the principle of union in all the great teachings is that it originates from the Holy marriage between the divine of God’s soul and His divine human.

So, Mary is on fire with both love and awareness, for these two together increase each other into sacred passion. She defies all custom, seizes the moment, rushes in, and, full of reverence, washes His feet with her tears and anoints His head with precious spikenard oil.

How can we fully appreciate the redemption Jesus performed unless we fully understand from what we were redeemed?

The exponentially increasing formula (that leads to the resurrection) is that the more Christ overcame temptations and purified His human, the higher His quality of love became, which in turn led the hells to attack with increased force at the higher level. When He then overcame that temptation, His quality of love increased again, and so on and so on to the point of infinity.
